L'info du jour
La colère des agriculteurs ne retombe pas. The farmers who are still demonstrating their anger across France this Wednesday are demanding rapid responses from the government to their demands and will not be satisfied with a communication exercise on the part of Prime Minister Gabriel Attal, warns the boss of the FNSEA, main French agricultural union. Questioned on France 2, Arnaud Rousseau announced Tuesday that farmers, who are already blocking highways or traffic routes in several regions, would carry out actions in 85 departments by Friday, the date on which they hope that the government will respond to a first series of demands linked to their income, their conditions of activity and the standards decided at the national level.
Arnaud Rousseau announced that his union was going to define the list of all of its demands this Wednesday – around forty, he said – and he considered it necessary for Gabriel Attal to meet the farmers. "The determination is total and now we need results", he said.
And also…
Nothing stops "Anatomy of a fall". Since receiving the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2023, Justine Triet's formidable film Anatomie d& #39;a fallflies from triumph to triumph. With more than 1.3 million spectators in France and nearly 1.6 million abroad, it is already a fairly exceptional popular success for a 2h32 drama retracing the trial of a woman indecipherable (the brilliant Sandra Hüller) accused of having killed her husband with, as only witnesses, the couple's visually impaired boy and their dog.
The day after its nomination in five categories for the Oscars, in Hollywood, the feature film continued its exceptional journey by being nominated no less than eleven times for the César Awards. Small detail: The Animal Kingdom by Thomas Cailley does better, with twelve nominations. And our regional favorite Scrapyard Dog by Jean-Baptiste Durand is in ambush!
Valentin Marcone tried for the Plantiers killings. On May 11, 2021, Valentin Marcone, employee of the Teissonnière sawmill in Les Plantiers, in the Cévennes Gard, is suspected of having shot dead his boss Luc Teissonnière and a work colleague Martial Guérin. Subject to trends paranoid, introverted and unsociable, he could not have tolerated his boss discussing his supposed dismissal with a colleague and would have shot them down. The young man has been explaining himself since this morning before the Gard assizes for a trial which could end on Monday January 29.
Up to 25°C expected in Occitanie. After wintery weather, a clear warm spell set in this Monday, January 22 in France, in the wake of the Isha depression. The contrast in temperatures is also "striking" compared to last weekend, notes Météo-France. A peak of mildness will take place this Wednesday January 24 and Thursday January 25, particularly on the Mediterranean coast, where it will be 21°C in Montpellier, 23°C in Perpignan and up to 25°C locally in the Pyrénées-Orientales. January's records could probably be equaled, or even exceeded occasionally, specifies the meteorological institute. For information, the record in Perpignan is 25.0 °C in January 1944, that of Carcassonne is 21.1 °C, established in January 1955.
