The Nîmes sky shone brightly this Sunday, July 14, offering a memorable pyrotechnic show near the Jardins de la Fontaine. After the criticism of the last edition, which opted for drones, the town hall of Nîmes took up the challenge this year with a memorable performance.

A high-level show

The 2023 edition left a bitter taste in many Nîmes, unhappy with the drone show which had replaced the traditional fireworks. Determined to make people forget this disappointment, the town hall of Nîmes has worked hard for this new national holiday. And the bet paid off. From 10:15 p.m., the first rockets set the sky ablaze, accompanied by a soundtrack on the theme of a "musical stroll".

For more than twenty minutes, rockets and explosives intertwined to offer a visual and auditory symphony. The spectators, gathered on Avenue Jean-Jaurès, did not miss a beat. If some, a minority, couldn't help but take a discreet look at the last minutes of the Euro final between Spain , winner, to England, the fireworks were the real stars of the Nîmes evening.
