#LOZERE – This Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Place du Foirail in Nasbinals, in Lozère, the departmental Aubrac breed competition is being held. Organized by the departmental Aubrac breed union and the chamber of agriculture, it will designate the most beautiful cows in the Lozère region. On this occasion, a day of entertainment is planned in the small village of Lozère Aubrac. The judging of the animals will begin at 10 a.m. In the afternoon, it will be the judging of the championships. The awards ceremony and the official parade of the animals will take place from 5 p.m. Refreshments and catering on site.

#PYRENEES-ORIENTALES –This is the number of kilometers of the A9 motorway that Vinci will renovate, between the Perpignan-sud and Perpignan-nord interchanges. RAGT Semences continues its expansion

#ECONOMY – RAGT Semences entered into negotiations a few weeks ago with the Deleplanque group, which specializes in sugar beet. Thus, the Aveyron seed company should acquire all of Deleplanque's shares in the last quarter of 2024. “This strategic transaction will expand our product portfolio”, explains Laurent Guerreiro, Chairman of the RAGT Group Executive Board. While the details of the transaction have not been disclosed, this merger marks an “important step in the history of the two companies and will open up new growth opportunities”, underlines Damien Robert, CEO of RAGT Semences. The company selects major crop species, including corn, soybeans, sunflowers, rapeseed, wheat, barley and peas. The group is the European leader in straw cereals, and half of the beers sold in Europe are made from RAGT spring barley. RAGT currently employs 1,500 people and has a turnover of 556 million euros.

First early snowflakes on Mont Lozère
