The Qualiviande agricultural competition returns to Aumont-Aubrac for an eighth edition this weekend

La Grande Halle Aumont-Aubrac va être investie ces samedi 31 août et dimanche 1er septembre 2024, avec des concours bovins de charolaises et limousines, ainsi qu’un concours ovin avec les blanches du Massif central.

An unmissable event for Lozère breeders, the Qualiviande event returns to the Grande Halle d'Aumont-Aubrac (in Peyre-en-Aubrac, a new commune), this Saturday, August 31 and Sunday, September 1, 2024, for an eighth edition.

The first day is reserved for competitions. Cattle will be in the spotlight with Charolais and Limousin breeds. On the sheep side, it is the white ones from the Massif Central that will participate in a competition.

The children's parade, Sunday at 11am

The animals brought by the farmers will be judged according to morphological and reproductive criteria. The opportunity for all these breeders to wander around the shed, spot “out of the ordinary” animals and perhaps start buy-out negotiations with their counterparts. Qualiviande, beyond its competitive aspect, is also a time for meeting and exchanging ideas between professionals in the sector.

The next day, Sunday September 1st, the children will be in the spotlight with a parade accompanied by their cow, at 11 am. The prizes and awards for the entire weekend will be presented to the winners, starting at 1:30 pm.

Refreshments and catering on site. Free admission. Doors open at 10 am; closing at 6 pm.
