The RCO Agde wins, the Entente Montferrier stands up to Cagnes, the Clermontaise believed in it against Revel…
|Les Héraultais ont mené deux fois au score dans le match. Midi Libre – ALAIN MENDEZ
In National 3, Agde regained a taste for success against OM when Montferrier held Cagnes in check. In Regional 1, Clermontaise was joined by Revel when in Pool A, Atlas Paillade returned to three points off the podium thanks to its success over Bagnols. Technical sheets and Saturday football summaries.
RCO Agde – OM II
In front of more than eight hundred and fifty spectators, the RCOA returned to victory against the prestigious « JPP », coach of the OM reserves, not in great spirits on Saturday evening. RCO Agde imposed its game from the start. First by Boufrizi who found the crossbar in the 5th then Darmon who opened the score with a header from a cross (1-0, 8th). Tunkadi, but Ben Brahim has the 2-0 ball which goes just over. It must be said that the first team is experiencing a mini-sporting crisis, after its fall of four places in the ranking.
The management reminded everyone of their responsibilities and clearly the message got through. Much more coherent than their opponents, Pascal Dagany's players hit the nail on the head in the 55th minute through Boufrizi. One of the (great) satisfactions of the current workforce. With the ball at his feet, he stumbles against the Marseille defense on the edge of the area (and offside). Fighting like a ragpicker, he manages to place himself in shooting orbit against Bernard, whom he deceives from close range (2-0).
The hardest part is done, undoubtedly the essential part too, the rest of the half then lacking rhythm. "We hope to restart a dynamic to look upwards again" then analyzed Pascal Dagany for RCO Agde who will visit the leader, Istres, next Saturday.
Montferrier wants to believe it until the end
Cagnes – ESC Montferrier
The first opportunity is local, which sees Denis hit on goal, but his shot narrowly misses (1st). Montferrier is not to be outdone, and responds immediately, on a bad pass from Paquille to his goalkeeper, Robalo Dos Santos removes at the last minute the ball that Guihen was waiting for (6th). Captain Hacquel's teammates respond to local attempts, and obtain a great opportunity, following a great ride from Bah who transmits to Ghouamla who lands a shot close to deceiving Chared (17th). Barely two minutes later, Bah tries again and tests Chared who is impeccable with his shot.
In the second half, the locals tried to make a gap, but they remained too clumsy in the last gesture. Montferrier stays in the game, trying to respond with quick counterattacks. Cagnes by Kamel Larbi will even touch the right post of Rodrigues Velozo, five minutes from time (85th). The Montferrier coach, Jean-Michel Guzman, recognized at the end of the match: "We achieved a good 0 to 0, away. Certainly, at the place where we are, this hardly advances us in the ranking. It remains a good result, we remained strong. Maintaining, of course we still believe in it, otherwise we wouldn't be here. We will continue to fight. There are six matches left to play, as we often say, hope keeps us alive, and so we will continue to believe in it until the end."
Regional 1: Clermontaise hangs on, the Atlas rises
Clermontaise – Revel
La Clermontaise believed in it before conceding a draw against co-leader Revel who preceded him by one point in the standings before kick-off yesterday. The people of Hérault lit a first firecracker. Brunet at the entrance to the area sent the ball onto the crossbar of the young Marmoiton who, in the process, was on parade on Dramé's shot. Author of a good start to the match, Revel responded with a too-cross shot from Palacios served by the lively Saforcada. But it was Redoules, after a favorable counterattack at the entrance to the area which sent it into the top corner (1-0, 42nd).
At the restart Revel equalized on a ball slowed down in the area and taken by N’Guessan (1-1, 55th). But Redoules took advantage of a ball released by Marmoiton to restore the advantage to his team (2-1, 59th). Before seeing the parade of the Haut-Garonnais goalkeeper prevent him from scoring the hat-trick in a big Clermontais highlight. At the end of the match, Gallot repelled Vieu's free kick but Saforcada volleyed leveled the score (2-2, 82nd). The visitors even came close to hitting the jackpot in stoppage time on a long ball misjudged by Gallot which ended up on the post.
In the same group, Frontignan gave itself some air by winning on the pitch of Toulouse Métropole thanks to a goal from Moureaux and a penalty saved by Dalouze ( 0-1).
Atlas Paillade – Bagnols
Atlas Paillade is doing good at home, and in style, thanks to this 2-0 victory against Bagnols allowing him to secure a third match in a row without defeat in the league. The Pailladins got back into their match very quickly, with early chances which led to a first goal in the first quarter of an hour, signed by Mohssine Hmimou, the Pailladin left back. In the first period, Atlas Paillade was particularly impactful with its offensives, unlike its opponent in the evening who struggled to build their game and lacked technical accuracy.
In midfield, Nasser Abarkan, often lonely during his overlaps, tried as best he could to carry his team and create danger with a few breakthroughs, but he often came up against a midfield that was established and solid defensively. And when the midfielder had passed, the full-backs, often helped by the central defenders, respected their task and provided cover. At the half-hour mark, Atlas Paillade consolidated its lead after a superb collective action, marked first by a brilliant transmission from Gaye Traoré, to Mohamed Bakhti on the right side who ended up serving Mohammed Bouhmala withdrawn, without trembling at the conclusion.
Béziers – Nîmes II
Tabet opened the scoring for the Biterrois with a nice strike from outside the area which deceived the Nîmes goalkeeper (1-0, 33rd). The joy was short-lived. After some good work from Khalid on his wing, El Hamri pushed the ball into the back of the net (1-1, 35th).
In the second half the domination was on the Gard side. However, after a long clearance from Vincent, Kisolokele overflowed and passed the ball back to Doumbia who finished the job (2-1, 684th). The Nîmes reservists were more and more pressing and they stifled their opponents. The latter cracked on an unstoppable free kick from El Hamri taken directly from the right of the penalty area (2-2, 85th). In the end, the draw is logical between two great teams who are still close in the rankings. Nîmes is 5th with 26 points, 3 points behind Béziers, 7th.
