The residence of Father Coudrin, 17 housing units, in the heart of the town of Mende, was inaugurated by the prefect

La résidence Coudrin, dotée de 17 logements locatifs, a été inaugurée lundi 8 avril 2024 en présence du préfet. Le complexe est un des symboles de l’action d’État Cœur de ville.

A courtesy visit to  ;nbsp;the occasion of the inauguration of the residence of Father Coudrin, in the heart of Mende. She recently moved into a spacious T2 with balcony, which is one of the 17 rental units in the new Coudrin residence complex, designed by the real estate operator Polygone. And which was able to see the light of day thanks to the Cœur de ville action.

"I lived opposite the technical high school and I had the opportunity to come to town, comments the sixty-year-old. I am very satisfied and I hope to stay there for many years."After visiting a few apartments filled with tenants, the assembly met at the bottom of the residence to cut the traditional tricolor ribbon, before some speeches recalling the history of the operation. Notably Pascal Lacombe, the former general manager of the real estate constructor Polygone and his recent successor in office, Aurélien Tissier: "The former mayor, Alain Bertrand, offered us to take over the Chicanette and the former Pradeilles gendarmerie barracks." In 2017, in place of the barracks, 24 T1 rental housing units emerged in T4 including 19 reserved for the Adoration retirement home.

No longer expand the city

"The City Heart operation arrived and we were able to imagine, on the land reserve, this new building", concluded Pascal Lacombe. Before his successor Aurélien Tissier continues: "It’is a project carried out by Polygone in partnership with Action Logement, the State, the region, the municipality, the department, for 2.10 M€. " The residence benefits from the city's heating network, classified B on energy performance : "We have need to build, to densify the city", welcomed Laurent Suau, the mayor. Before the prefect concludes: "We offer an easier life for residents while stopping overexpanding the city." And without excess, guests and residents shared a glass of friendship.
