Mercredi 17 avril, le vice-président RN de l’Assemblée nationale Sébastien Chenu est venu soutenir le candidat Emmanuel Le Pargneux à l’élection municipale anticipée de Pont-Saint-Esprit.

"The National Rally has no problem giving responsibilities to young people !" < /em>Venu, Wednesday April 17 at the end of the afternoon in Pont-Saint-Esprit, in neighboring – "I'm spending a few days in my holiday home near the Pont du Gard" – the deputy of the North (RN) and vice-president of the National Assembly Sébastien Chenu showed his support for his party's candidate Emmanuel Le Pargneux at the  rsquo;early municipal election (April 28 and May 5).

"If Emmanuel is elected, he would be the youngest mayor in France in a city of more than 10,000 inhabitants" reminded him of the Gard deputy Pierre Meurin, running mate of Renouveau Spiripontain, also present at this political visit. "We have Jordan Bardella, another young person, at the Europeans, it seems to be working well!" the MP from the North is delighted.

The election of the RN candidate at the head of the town hall of Pont-Saint-Esprit, "c’is playable, given the score of Pierre Meurin in the legislative elections. And having a deputy in a municipal council is a guarantee of stability" is convinced Sébastien Chenu who predicts that "in Gard, where we have four RN deputies out of six, we will win towns. There will be a list in Bagnols.

"Taking the temperature of the city"

After reviewing the different issues of the city – "I have the impression that things are done by halves here, the municipal team is no longer able to prepare for the future, which is symptomatic of a team at the end of the race" – Sébastien Chenu, accompanied by Emmanuel Le Pargneux and his colleagues, toured a few traders, informed of the visit, passing through the old center of the Gard city.

A well-established method during an electoral campaign, to "take the temperature of a city" and allow the candidate to reveal part of his program which he will present to the press on Saturday April 20 on the sidelines of the Spiripontain market.

A trade office

First stop at a hairdresser, all smiles to welcome the deputies and the candidate for mayor. "The traders are not helped by the town hall", criticizes this trader. The opportunity for Emmanuel Le Pargneux to announce his proposal to create "a commerce office with a one-stop shop to support traders".

Further on, a cheesemaker estimates that at "Pont, it’s rather quiet, it’s rather positive for businesses. The town is gradually recovering but there is a lack of entertainment, and parking is a real hassle!". "I am going to launch a citizen consultation on this subject" replies the candidate. Another assures that he "very good relations with the municipality. There are things to improve. But we all hear promises…".

"Change of atmosphere !"< /h2>

In the old center, "change of atmosphere ! There are many businesses closed" notes the deputy from the North. For Emmanuel Le Pargneux, the solution involves "the creation of summer leases". MP Pierre Meurin insists on unsanitary housing. "It will be necessary to take stock of the old center."

A short tour of the city to see that "Pont-Saint-Esprit has potential, it is waiting for a new dynamism. With animations, embellishments, security… We could do something really cool here!", assures Sébastien Chenu, fell under the spell from another small Gard town, Uzès.
