The Rolling Stones reunite with their original bassist for the first time in 30 years

Bassist Bill Wyman has reunited with former members of The Rolling Stones to pay tribute to late drummer Charlie Watts as part of a new album, 'The Sun' daily reported.  

The disc will include an old recording of the drummer before his death in August 2021, after a battle with throat cancer.

Bill Wyman, 86 , had left the group in 1993 after 30 years. He still insists to this day that he never regretted the decision.

The sound of his bass can be heard on just one song from the album, where he went all the way. in Los Angeles for a recording session with singer Mick Jagger.

“Bill hadn't seen the band together in years, but he always liked Charlie [Watts]. This album is really a tribute to Charlie, so he couldn't refuse the offer,” a source close to Wyman said.

“It was really nice to have Mick [Jagger], Keith [Richards] and Ronnie Wood in the studio to commemorate Charlie, playing and singing along to drum tracks that are repurposed and incorporated into the album,” he added.

Paul McCartney and Elton John will also appear on the album.
