The Senate of Mississippi voting the removal of a symbol confederate flag from the State

Le Sénat du Mississipi vote le retrait d'un symbole confédéré du drapeau de l'État

The Senate of Mississippi voted on Sunday by 37 votes against 14 for the removal of a symbol confederate flag of this State in the southern United States.

This withdrawal had been approved a little earlier on Sunday by the House of representatives of that State with a majority of 91 votes to 23.

The Mississippi is the last State in the u.s. to display on his flag the emblem of the Confederation, which recalls the period of slavery. The parliamentarians have decided that a new flag should be adopted.
