The Serge Savard Invitation raised $536,000


The 3th edition of the Serge Savard Invitation, which took place at Le Mirage Golf Club, raised the sum of $536,000 to help student athletes at the Université de Sherbrooke. The Serge Savard Invitation also paid tribute to Guy Lafleur and the 50th anniversary of the 1972 Series of the Century.

Ken Dryden, Marcel Dionne, Guy Lapointe, Yvan Cournoyer, Serge Savard and Peter Mahovlich played for Team Canada in the 1972 Summit Series which they won against the Russians.

The former captain of the Canadian, Guy Carbonneau is surrounded by three long hitters, Guy Trudeau, Benoit Beaucage and Jean-François Trudeau.
