The Shiva cleaning company is recruiting 150 people around Montpellier

Fifty people wanted in Montpellier, as many in Fabrègues, 24 in Crès and Clermont-L'Hérault.

The personal service company Shiva is recruiting in the Montpellier area: 24 domestic employees are sought in Clermont-l'Hérault, 24 in Crès, 50& ;nbsp;in Fabrègues, 50 again in Montpellier. Since May 2023, 342 people have already been recruited in one or the other of the twelve agencies located around Montpellier. "We had seven agencies last September, we are preparing to open the twelfth in the north-east of the city, perhaps in Castries", explains Clément Doyen, general manager of Shiva for Hérault. "The sector is booming. Our goals within three years are to open seven new agencies."

The company has existed nationally for 20 years and has 500 agencies and 150,000 clients in France (2,000 in Hérault). Unlike many of its competitors, Shiva only offers housekeeping. "We do not provide home care, which requires specific training for staff, nor gardening or DIY, but only cleaning and ironing. We're talking about "domestic staff", continues Clément Doyen. 

A competitive sector

If the employer remains the individual, the company, playing the role of agent, takes care of all aspects of salaries, taxation, charges, etc. In a competitive sector ( with individual employers via the employment service check or undeclared work which is still very widespread), the intermediary company has a lot to do to differentiate itself, in particular by retaining staff… &amp ;quot;We are very attentive to profiles, we want diversity and try to adapt. More and more, we have retirees who want to work a few hours for extra money, or people employed elsewhere but part-time. Or even mothers with time constraints. We are committed to being human and we try to find the fairest balance to keep people. Because our customers expect this."

In order to create links, the 11 Shiva agencies organize friendly snacks or aperitifs for cleaning staff, or invite them to attend shows (recently at the musical The Ten Commandments). As for customers, their profile is changing: it is no longer just a question of well-off socio-professional categories, but now also young working people. Or owners of seasonal rentals.
