The state of emergency was again renewed in Montreal

L’état d’urgence est de nouveau renouvelé à Montréal

MONTREAL | once Again, the state of emergency has been renewed Saturday, this time until June 4, on the territory of the Montréal agglomeration.

The state of emergency was declared on the 27th of march by the executive committee of the Ville de Montréal in the framework of the pandemic COVID-19. It has continually been extended since then.

The state of emergency, which applies under the civil protection Act, gives exceptional powers to the authorities to fight against the virus. Among other things it allows a mobilization of material and human resources to curb the spread of the disease from coronavirus in Montreal, which is the main focus of the disease in the country.
