The summer will be marked by numerous works on the tram rails in Montpellier

A vast program of modernization and renovation of the tram rails will be carried out this summer, the period when nuisances are less for users. The connection of the future Line 5 to tram line 3, in the Saint-Denis sector, will also be carried out.

From June 1st to September 1st, two large-scale projects will be shared on the Tam:

network

– The connection of the future Line 5 to tram line 3 in the Saint-Denis sector, for entry into service in the second half of 2025 ;

– The replacement of rails, change of track switches, renovation of surrounding surfaces, creation of anti-crossing pits. The work will be carried out during the period when network use is lowest, thus optimizing the schedule of interventions and limiting disruption to users as much as possible.

Phase 1: Saturday 1st and Sunday June 2

Line 3 will not run between Jules Guesde and Observatoire stations.
A replacement shuttle bus will be in place: Monday to Thursday, between 4:30 a.m. and 1:10 a.m.; Friday and Saturday, between 4:30 a.m. and 2:10 a.m.; on Sundays and public holidays, between 6 a.m. and 1 a.m. 10.

The route of line 4 will be diverted from Boulevard Henri IV.
Two temporary termini will be created Place Albert 1er – Saint-Charles and Léon Blum.

Phase 2 : From June 3 to July 28

Line 3 will not run between Saint-Denis and Observatoire stations.
Bicycle taxis will be made available to people with reduced mobility to facilitate their travel.

The route of line 4 will be diverted from Boulevard Henri IV.
The temporary termini Place Albert 1er – Saint-Charles and Léon Blum will be served.

In Lattes, from June 24 to September 1, between 1 p.m. and 8 p.m., line 3 will be interrupted between Boirargues and Lattes Center stations. It will nevertheless be provided by a replacement shuttle bus, according to the usual frequency of this tram line.

Phase 3: From July 29 to September 1

Line 3 will not run between Jules Guesde and Observatoire stations.
A replacement shuttle bus will be in place: Monday to Thursday, between 4:30 a.m. and 1:10 a.m.; Friday and Saturday, between 4:30 a.m. and 2:10 a.m.; on Sundays and public holidays, between 6 a.m. and 1 a.m. and 10 a.m.

Tram lines 3 and 4 will run normally from September 2.
