The American robotics company Boston Dynamics produces several types of robot as a biped and a quadruped. They are designed to perform practical tasks. They have successfully overcome the most difficult obstacles, carry loads and help people in different spheres of activity. Look at some of them.
By 2016, the company is working on a four-legged robot SpotMini. Year by year he improves his abilities: has learned to open doors, grab and move objects weighing up to 14 kg, to dance and to memorize the routes. Together with the robotic arm, the robot weighs 30 kg (25 – separately). It runs from the electric battery, a single charge which, depending on the task, lasts about 90 minutes.
Recently, the engineers at Boston Dynamics revealed the new capabilities of the next generation SpotMini: these robots can be effectively used as draft power. In the video, ten small vehicles pulling a truck in neutral up the hill with an inclination of about one degree.
Model SpotMini already out of the laboratory walls and is on the line “for General use”. The price is not yet named, but with a lot of skills SpotMini the creators no doubt in high demand for the helpful robot. Find out what happened to hotels based on robotics.
