Un couple de Britanniques a atterri à des milliers de kilomètres de la destination prévue. Ils ont été placés dans le mauvais avion.

Andrew and Victoria Gore were scheduled to fly with 10 other family members on Saturday May 25, 2024 to Barcelona before heading to the Costa Brava, Spain.

Everything did not end up going as planned for the lovers. The couple landed thousands of kilometers from their original destination, in Lithuania, reports The Independent.

This trip was offered to Andrew Gore for his 47th birthday. Suffering from disabilities, he and his wife had subscribed to special assistance at Bristol Airport.

Boarding pass verified

"The minibus took us to the Ryanair plane, they checked our boarding pass and let us board the plane ;plane", tells Victoria Gore to the British newspaper.

The rest of the family, who were traveling without special assistance, boarded the correct plane normally.

"It’was my worst nightmare"

The couple falls asleep and only realizes the mistake when they arrive…hellip; in Lithuania. "I’was helpless and scared. I couldn't stop crying. It’was my worst nightmare", Victoria Gore told The Independent.< /p>

The couple then had to fight to arrive safely. Ryanair took care of the two passengers, offering them a hotel room, a taxi and another flight to Barcelona. Their luggage, which remained in Bristol, arrived two days after them in Barcelona.

Investigation open

Rynair blamed the English airport for this incident, according to 7 of 7. The management of the airport apologized to the two travelers for the inconvenience suffered and ensured that they would be fully compensated.

An investigation was opened by the airport to shed light on this investigation and determine possible human errors. The boarding passes had in fact been checked several times, without the misunderstanding being noticed.
