Le fils de la victime accusé de meurtre au deuxième degré

The son of the victim of the tragedy that occurred in Drummondville, Jean-Luc Ferland, 33, was accused Tuesday of second-degree murder in the palais de justice de Drummondville.

Suzanne Desjardins, 57, has died after being found seriously injured in his residence in the rue Pinard, in Drummondville. The victim had tried to get help from the Sûreté du Québec, but in vain, the day before, to force his son to undergo a psychiatric evaluation.

It is the Office of the independent surveys (EIB), who leads the investigation as a “civil 57-year-old is dead following a police intervention of the Sûreté du Québec,” said the EIB by press release.

“On July 26, 2020, a woman would have presented around 13: 30 to the position of the Sûreté du Québec to Drummondville, to request the assistance of the police in order to force his son, who would remain with her for the past few weeks, to undergo a psychiatric evaluation, explains the EIB. The police could not assist the lady in its application in the immediate future, it would be then returned to his work.”
