Une nouvelle saison commence à Scènes croisées, avec l’arrivée d’une nouvelle directrice, Fanny Prud’homme.

It's a transitional season that begins for Scènes croisées, with a change in management. Fanny Prud’homme succeeds Florian Oliverès. "I have been working in live performance for over twenty-five years, she explains. I was the general secretary of Culture commune, a national scene based in the Pas-de-Calais mining basin, nomadic and itinerant. Which links in with the Scènes croisées project.” What drives her way of working: itinerancy, therefore, partnership, the connection between art and the territory. She should be in her element at Scènes croisées, a conventioned stage that draws on the same ideals.

This season, the hundred or so performances scheduled will take over different locations in Lozère. Valérie Renaud, general secretary, thus underlines that many “shows travel from one territory to another” and make “the link between the landscape and artistic creation“. We will find theater, circus arts, music, or even proposals that mix all of that.

The link with the territory

"We want to defend all shows in the same way“, asks Fanny Prud’homme. To give a little idea of what awaits the spectators, we will nevertheless retain a few appointments. For example, the residence la Cham of the GdRA, a territorial project around the Bondons, megaliths and mining. At the end of a residency and meeting with the inhabitants, the creation will mix song, music, documentary. "How to talk about here and now, while always remaining open", insists Fanny Prud’homme.

The Primesautier Théâtre will present Portraits manifestes, a documentary theater work, collecting testimonies on the "Yellow Vests", on January 30 and February 1, in Marvejols and Ispagnac.

For all publics

We will also mention Underground, from the Matiloun company, early February in Langogne and Chanac and in school sessions, a youth proposal from 8 years old but which can also be aimed at adults. Object theater, music, visual arts, “a kind of UFO, summarizes Fanny Prud’homme, a sensitive and artistic immersion to meet the people who work underground. It is a fine and delicate work."

In terms of music, we will remember the work carried out by Nadia Ratsimandresy, composer and musician, in association with Scènes croisées. First of all, Ulvoa, on January 23 in Mende, co-hosted with the Théâtre de Mende: a musical and choreographic feminist tale: “What happens when a little girl doesn't follow the path she was assigned“, sums up Valérie Renaud, who promises “a radical and committed artistic gesture“. And Ubic, co-hosted with Rudeboy Crew, a duo with Annabelle Playe, who revisits the codes of techno, on April 5 in Bagnols-les-Bains.

More than a program, Scènes croisées supports artists in creation; often offers, with many partners, activities around the shows; leads operations for schools… "A season is about shows, but also about meetings, cultural action projects to open the doors as wide as possible", underlines Fanny Prud’homme. There will be no shortage of invitations to enter, throughout the season, in all four corners of the department.

First meeting, Ouverture(s), on September 14 in Villefort. Scènes croisées, 04 66 65 75 75, scenescroisees.fr. I subscribe to read the rest
