Their apartment in Perpignan caught fire: without a solution, this couple and their four children fear ending up on the street

In Perpignan, a couple and their four children find themselves in trouble after a fire in their building made their home uninhabitable. A call for generosity to accommodate this family while their home is being repaired is launched.  

A family risks ending up on the street in Perpignan. Evacuated on February 21 after a fire ravaged the cellar of their building in the Saint-Assiscle district and made their apartment uninhabitable, this couple and their four children moved from one place to another temporarily to another until the work on their apartment is completed, reports L'Independent.

The CCAS of Perpignan, which has already provided assistance on several occasions, will soon no longer be able to continue to offer places to live to this family. Additionally, the winter break ends on March 31.

"Sometimes, things stayed in dad's car while they moved. Other times, for a few hours, there was uncertainty as to whether CCAS would provide accommodation for the night… Each time, it's 39;is a struggle." deplores Oulaya Brot, member of the union and co-ownership council and who is trying to help the family .

Call for generosity

Oulaya Brot therefore appeals to the generosity of anyone able to provide accommodation in the Saint-Assiscle district for this family, until they can return to live in their home, which is still condemned as a precaution. These six people have no family here who can take them in."

A social structure offered at the start of the week to welcome the family until next Monday. But after this date, the family does not know where they will be able to sleep.
