There are 10,000 euros to be won: gold hidden in ten pots of La Baleine salt for the 90th anniversary of the Gard brand

To celebrate its 90th anniversary, the salt brand La Baleine will hide gold in ten salt shakers. The campaign will last until December 31, 2024.

Inspired by Roald Dahl, the La Baleine brand wants to slip gold into its products. To celebrate her 90 years, she will also be giving away 1,000 euros to each lucky winner.

10 000 euros to be won

In ten salt shakers from the La Baleine brand will be hidden until the end of the year edible gold powder : "To try your luck, buy our 90 year old salt shaker. If you salt and your salt is golden, you have won!" Please note: this will only be in the 500, 550 or 600 gram formats. Each winner will pocket the sum of 1,000 euros.

A piece of jewelry created for the event

To celebrate this anniversary, the brand has also teamed up with jewelry designer Anaïs Occhipinti (OW Création), to imagine a pendant in the shape of a drop of water set  ;nbsp;gold, indicates France blue.

The jewel is also encrusted with salt, all fixed with a translucent resin which transparently reveals the gold leaves slipped inside.

A local brand

The Aigues-Mortes site, operated since 1856, begins its harvest at the end of August and finishes it in October. The 180 employees however work all year round on the conditioning and maintenance of the salt tables.

Everything happens naturally by evaporation and by complex water circulation in a rich network of 90 ponds (the Salins extend over 8 ;nbsp;000 hectares, the surface area of ​​Paris intra-muros).
