They could contain pieces of plastic: Toblerone chocolate bars recalled throughout France

Mostly sold in train stations and airports, lots of Toblerone milk chocolates are being recalled throughout France because they could contain pieces of plastic.

Be careful if when leaving or returning from a trip you stopped in a Relay or Trib's store at a station or airport, and you are tempted by a Toblerone tablet: these are the subject of a recall everywhere in France.

Indeed, the government website Rappel Conso indicates that milk chocolate bars, sold in boxes of 4 x 100 grams , may contain plastic.

Sold in train stations and airports

The recalled tablets were marketed from November 22, 2023 to January 18, 2024 throughout France, mainly in airport areas and Eurostar under customs, indicates Rappel Conso. The distributor stores are Relay, Trib's and Relai H. 

In detail, the numbers of the tablets concerned are as follows:  CWS1234022, CWS1234031, OOY4333553. They carry the references GTIN 7622201420116 and their minimum durability date is until December 1, 2024.

Do not consume them and get a refund

"These pieces of material may have undesirable effects if ingested. "As a precaution, it is recommended that people who have products not consume them", specifies the government site. 

If you are in possession of one of these lots, you must not consume it. Consumers are invited to return the product affected by this recall to the store in which it was purchased in order to obtain a refund until February 1st.
