On the morning of Friday, September 6, in Verrières-le-Buisson in the Essonne department, a couple was crushed by their car while they were making repairs, according to Le Parisien. A sudden and unexpected movement of the car linked to an action on the automatic transmission is said to be the cause of the woman's death and the husband's serious injuries.

The man trapped under a wheel

When help arrived, the 65-year-old woman was trapped between a wall and the vehicle. Help tried to resuscitate her, but in vain. She died on the spot. At the same time, her 66-year-old husband had a foot trapped under one of the car's wheels. He was finally able to be evacuated by the firefighters and taken to hospital. The Évry prosecutor's office indicated that an investigation had been opened to understand the circumstances of this incident.
