Threatening call targeting Ubisoft Montreal

Threats relating to the presence of a suspicious package forced the Montreal police to disembark at Ubisoft Montreal on Friday afternoon, a little over a month after the vast operation that had been launched at the same location for what s ‘had turned out to be a hoax.

“A threatening call was made around 4 pm”, confirmed to the QMI Agency agent Véronique Comtois of the Police Department of the City of Montreal (SPVM).

However, she refused to confirm that Ubisoft Montreal is the target again, as was the case on November 13.

“We are in the process of verifying a commercial space on Saint-Laurent Boulevard, at the corner of Saint-Viateur. Everything suggests that there would be no people present in the building and we have not located a threat, ”she said shortly before 6 pm.

Several police officers are on site as part of this operation.

Remember that in addition to the hoax of November 13, a suspicious package was neutralized in the parking lot behind the premises of Ubisoft Saguenay on December 4.
