“Three hours without radio or scanner”: in the Nîmes emergency room, a man remains on a mattress on the floor before being sent home

Suffering from back pain, a man went to the Nîmes University Hospital on Thursday January 4. The latter spent three hours on a mattress installed directly on the floor, before being sent home.
He's not ready to forget his time in the emergency room. This Thursday, January 4, a resident of Gard was transported by the firefighters to the Nîmes University Hospital because he was suffering from back pain.
Alert, his companion went there and found him in a storage room, lying on a mattress on the floor. In fact, the man spent nearly 3 hours on a mattress on the floor, due to a lack of available places on the stretchers, reports France 3.
The Man Sent Home
"He spent three hours there, without being given an x-ray or scanner", deplores his partner. "He was just given strong pain medication and told to go home because there was no place to keep him. He was advised to go for an MRI. in private!".
Finally, the man could not be hospitalized and his partner took him back to their home half an hour away while the ;man was lying in the back of the vehicle during the journey.
For its part, the Nîmes University Hospital says that its medical teams are doing what they can with the means at hand.
