Tickets at 3 euros, “golden tickets”… the SNCF countdown for “TER Days” launched at 9 a.m. this Monday

Ce lundi 18 mars 2024, la SNCF lance les "TER Days", sept jours de promotions sur les billets de trains régionaux. On vous explique l'opération. 

2 hours, 24 minutes and 22 seconds… The SNCF countdown is proudly displayed on the page dedicated to TER Days. For seven days starting at 9 a.m. this Monday, promotions will be offered for regional travel. 

Ten regions concerned

All of France is not affected by this reduction operation. The "TER Days" will be practiced in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Grand-Est, Centre-Val-de-Loire, Pays-de-la-Loire, Normandy, Brittany, Burgundy-Franche-Comté, Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, Hauts- of France and New Aquitaine.

Thus, Île-de-France, Occitanie and Corsica will not offer special promotions on their regional trains in the coming days. 

What discounts ?

In Brittany and Pays-de-la-Loire, 30,000 tickets will be sold between 3 and 7 euros. Eight "golden tickets" will also be put into play. These tickets will allow the lucky winners to travel across the entire TER network in the regions concerned for one year. 

Reductions will be offered via regional cards, note BFMTV. The Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Grand-Est, Hauts-de-Frace and Provence-Alpes-Côte-d'Azur regions will offer 50% reductions. Commercial cards at reduced prices will also be offered in Burgundy-Franche-Comté, Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Centre-Val de Loire. 

For the SNCF, this is an opportunity to sell more tickets this week, but also to continue its business of customer loyalty. The aim is, at the expense of a more accessible car and a cheaper plane, to promote train travel.
