This Sunday, February 11, 2024, the charred body of a woman, with her hands and feet tied, was discovered in Sainte-Foy-lès-Lyon in the Rhône in the basement of a uninhabited house.
A macabre discovery. On the afternoon of this Sunday, February 11, the new owner of an uninhabited house in Sainte-Foy-lès-Lyon found a partially charred body. It would be a woman, around forty years old, whose disappearance had been reported on February 8, reveals Progress.
Investigation open
The discovery was made in the basement of the building. According to initial findings, the charred body would be that of a woman around forty years old, who had her hands and feet tied. The Lyon public prosecutor's office has opened an investigation into "intentional homicide", reports our colleagues from BFMTV. The local magazine, Lyon Mag, reports that "acts of torture could have been carried out by the killers".
The new owner of this villa went to the site after local residents reported an open door and suspected the "presence potential squatters", specifies Le Progrès.
Companion not found
The victim had been worryingly missing for several days. She had contacted her ex-partner to warn him that her current partner was in front of her workplace with several friends.
If she was afraid of him, it was because the man had already been violent with her and had made death threats to her on several occasions, indicates < em>France Bleu. Since then, the forty-year-old has given no sign of life. His current companion, however, remains untraceable, specifies France Bleu.
The investigations were entrusted to the gendarmes of the Lyon research section and the Givors research brigade, specifies the news channel.
