The Festival international du film de Toronto (TIFF) unveiled on Wednesday its game plan for its 45e edition which will take place from 10 to 19 September.
Like all other great events of the world, the TIFF will adapt to the pandemic, in offering this year’s programming is “lighter” (composed of about fifty films), which will be largely distributed online.
But the festival in toronto broke new ground in presenting for the first five days of this edition 2020 projections in theatres and drive-ins in enforcing the distance physical between the spectators. The rest of the programming will be offered online in the course of the next ten days.
The TIFF also announced Wednesday that a fifty actors and directors will act this year as ambassadors of the event. This list of celebrities includes actresses Nicole Kidman and Isabelle Huppert, filmmakers Denis Villeneuve and Martin Scorsese.
