A 45-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday March 5, 2024 in Texas for poisoning one of the students at her 11-year-old son's school. She would have wanted to protect the little boy from the harassment he suffered by tampering with his snack.
A Machiavellian ploy which started from his son's distress. An American woman was arrested Tuesday for sending a schoolboy to the hospital, reports CBS news.
A curious mix
The forty-year-old changed the drink given to her son for his school day. Mixing lemon, salt and vinegar in a bottle, she prepared a cocktail – non-lethal but nevertheless dangerous – to avenge her child.
The defendant's son passed his drink to his harasser during a gymnastics class. A few hours later, the child had to be hospitalized because of severe headaches and intense nausea. He would have drunk "a big gulp" of the drink, before spitting it out. He has since been released from the hospital.
She wanted revenge on her son
The day before, an 11-year-old student had stolen his son's glass. The latter told him about the scene when he came home, a situation that his mother decided to resolve alone, and illegally.
"Whether or not the allegations of bullying that gave rise to this situation are true or not, there is no question never apologize for taking matters into your own hands and hurting a child", insisted the sheriff.
The forty-year-old is accused of "injuries inflicted on a child", report our colleagues across the Atlantic. "She stated that she takes full responsibility for what happened", specifies the local sheriff.
His son will also be "subject to disciplinary action in accordance with the policies governing student conduct" .
