This Monday, January 16, 2023 was marked by the arrival of a new columnist around the TPMP table. On the program this time? After Veronique Genest who quickly caused controversy, it was Afida Turner who invited herself alongside Gilles Verdez, Matthieu Delormeau & co. A WTF choice which, unsurprisingly, angered many viewers.
The year 2023 has barely begun, but Cyril Hanouna has not yet made a single good decision for the future of TPMP. It's no secret that since the launch of the show on France 4, the host likes to regularly renew the cast of his columnists in order to bring a few new things to the screen and bring the necessary freshness to the stage to offer new dimensions to the debates. However, if until now he seemed to have a rather gifted flair for that (poke the arrival of Raymond welcomed by all), his nose seems blocked for several weeks.
Thus, in the space of a few days, Cyril Hanouna managed to alienate a large part of the viewers by inviting the actress Véronique Genest around the table despite her radical positions, or even an (almost) unknown named Amele , whose only feat before that had been to participate in the talk show… as a guest.
Hanouna invites Afida Turner around the table of < em>TPMP
Unfortunately for fans who (naively) dream of finding the TPMPfrom a few years ago, the presenter of C8 seems clearly adept at the concept of “all buzz is good to take, even the bad”, and therefore should not be counted on to regain control in terms of its management of team. This Monday, January 16, 2023, Cyril Hanouna – rather than pampering his usual columnists with whom he sometimes clashes, quite simply gave an armchair to… Afida Turner.
A decision WTF as his appearance during the weekend on the set of TPMP People had given rise to a moment of absolute unease, which is, unsurprisingly, not at all without consequences on the screen. Between his very particular clothing which was the subject of a few valves on the part of the host or his mind-blowing remarks on the Covid-19 in particular, “I don't believe in vaccines. (…) I did not believe in covid. For me, it was just a little more intense flu “, Afida Turner quickly shocked the fans, already tired by this chaotic start to the year of Hands off my post.
“We're hitting rock bottom”
Where the TPMP community has long been as the most present and caring of television towards Hanouna and her team, the relationship of trust between the two camps seems clearly broken today. “Well, as soon as she arrived I went to Quotidien. Sorry, but that's too much…“, can we read on Twitter, just like, “Every day a more reason not to watch this show“, “The show was average tonight… Cyril, please shut up Afida, we need to raise the bar. And yet I I'm a fan of the show!” or, “The level of guests tonight… We're really hitting rock bottom. And Afida as a columnist. TPMP has really become trash TV“.
Critics soon to be heard? We will have to wait for the hearings to find out, as Hanouna only lives and decides by this…
Note that nothing yet says that Afida Turner will return as a columnist for TPMP in the coming days/weeks. In view of the behavior of Cyril Hanouna last night, who kept cutting him off and getting annoyed at his long positions, the host could have been cooled by such a strategy…
