Transhumance at the Col de Bonnecombe, on the Aubrac, in Lozère: the video of the arrival of the first herd

The activities continue all day.

It's this Sunday, May 26, 2024, day of transhumance at the Bonnecombe pass, on the Lozère Aubrac. This important moment for breeding is traditionally accompanied by a party and activities, offered by the Aubrac Sud Lozère association.

The herds of cows, decorated and accompanied by walkers, arrived at the site from mid-morning. The arrivals of animals from the various breeders in the area will follow one another until approximately 3:30 p.m.

The program

The animals stay there for about two hours, time to be admired; this also allows visitors to chat with breeders. The cows, once the decorations have been removed, then return to the calm of the Aubrac pastures.

L’aligot will be served for lunch. Stands of local products, music and folk dance enliven the whole day.
