BEDMINSTER | The us president, Donald Trump is going to “throw an eye” on a possible, thanks to Edward Snowden, former employee of the u.s. intelligence indicted for espionage, he made it known Saturday.

“A lot of people think he should be treated differently, and other people think that he has done very bad things,” said the president, when asked during a press conference in New Jersey (is) on the possibility of a pardon for Snowden. “I’m going to take a look at it very seriously”, he added.

Edward Snowden, often seen as a whistleblower, is a former employee of the CIA and ex-contractor of the intelligence Agency (NSA), exiled in Russia since he has denounced, in 2013, the mass surveillance of communications and of the internet in his country.

The former computer programmer is charged with the criminal the United States of espionage and theft of State secrets. He faces up to 30 years in prison.

During the presidential campaign in 2016, Donald Trump had described Snowden as a “traitor general” and promised to “deal harshly” if he was elected.
