Two Celine Songs In Billboard's Top 50 Love Songs Of All Time

Six weeks after being ousted from Rolling Stone's list of 200 greatest singers of all time, Celine Dion sees two of her hits make it into the magazine's top 50 love songs specialized Billboard. Because You Loved Me and The Power of Love are part of this list. 

Because You Loved Me is in 14th position. This first single from the album Falling Into Youspent six weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1996. This song written by Diane Warren is the theme song for the movieUp Close & Personal, which features Robert Redford and Michelle Pfeiffer.

The Power of Love follows in 44th position. This song was the first single from the opus The Color of My Love launched in 1993. Written by Jennifer Rush, this piece was recorded by singer-songwriter, Air Supply and Laura Branigan, before enjoying huge success with the Céline cover. The Power of Loveheld the Billboard Hot 100 chart for four weeks in 1994.

Endless Love

Endless Love, by Lionel Richie and Diana Ross, dominates this top 50 published on February 9th. This song from the movie of the same name was number 1 for 11 weeks in 1981.

This top 50 of the best songs of all-time love was constructed based on the number of weeks spent on the Billboard Hot 100 chart between 1958 and present. The word “love” and its derivatives had to be present in the title of the song for it to be eligible.
