A boy of 9 years and another 12 years have been found several kilometres away from the place where they had been reported missing in Saint-Alexis-des-Monts, in Mauricie, then they were gone by bike in the neighbourhood.
The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) started their research as soon as it has received the call about their disappearance, to 16h, in the vicinity of the place of the Fall to Lessard.
“The two young people went on a bicycle at around 13h, but never returned,” says the spokesperson for the SQ, Beatrice Dorsainville.
This is only about 21 o’clock that the two children were found, safe and sound, many miles from their places of departure. The SQ confirmed that he had been able to found the two cyclists in the sector of Saint-Édouard-de-Maskinongé, thanks to information by citizens.
According to the page Facebook of the municipality, one of the children walked around with a bike in green, while the other had a mauve. Both wore glasses, shorts and a t-shirt, while the 9 years included a yellow helmet.
Vehicle patrols, police officers on foot and fire department all-terrain vehicle have been put to work to find the two boys as quickly as possible. The helicopter of the Sûreté du Québec has also flew over the region in the hope of being seen.
