Mexico city | Two people were killed and four are missing in Mexico after the passage of hurricane Hanna, which has caused floods in the north-east of the country, announced on Monday the civil protection.
The two dead were a woman and her daughter taken away by the current of a swollen river as she tried to cross to the edge of a pickup truck in the State of Coahuila, on the border with the United States, according to information of the press mexican.
The four missing people were in the same State, affected by heavy rains the past 48 hours.
More than a thousand Mexicans remain housed in temporary shelters after the passage of Hanna, the first hurricane of the year 2020 on the Atlantic coast.
After sweeping Texas, accompanied by heavy rain and gales, Hanna was demoted to a tropical storm.
But meteorologists had warned against the risk of floods and landslides in the north of Mexico.
