The National Hockey League (NHL) will hold two regular season games at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford in February 2024 and the teams located closest to the area will be featured.
As reported Tuesday by various sources, including NHL Network hockey expert Kevin Weekes, the Islanders and Rangers will face off in an all-New York matchup, while the New Jersey Devils will take on the Philadelphia Flyers. These games will take place over two consecutive days as part of the NHL Stadium Series.
The NFL home of the Giants and New York Jets has yet to host games of the Bettman circuit. In the New York area, the last outdoor meeting dates back to January 1, 2018 when the Blueshirts defeated the Buffalo Sabers 3-2 in overtime in front of more than 41,000 people at Citi Field, home of the Mets. < /p>
A few years earlier, the Rangers faced off against the Devils and Islanders on January 26 and 29, 2014, respectively, in front of 50,000+ fans at Yankee Stadium on each occasion.
