Valentin vasyanovych received an award at the Venice film festival for the film Atlantis

On 76-m the Venetian film festival, the winners of which were announced on Saturday, September 7, the Ukrainian film “Atlantis” directed by Valentin Vasyanovich, received the main prize in the category Best film. Premiere of “Atlantis” was held in the second largest competition program of the festival – Horizons.

This year for victory in the program Horizons competed 19 feature films. To participate in this section, selected films and documentaries that represent a new trend in the development of world cinema.

“Atlantis” tells the story of the victory of Ukraine in the war with Russia. The film takes place in the Donbass in 2025 year. On the screen show the consequences of military action that made the area uninhabitable.

It is noteworthy that Valentyn vasyanovych worked on the film as scriptwriter, Director, cameraman and producer. In “Atlantis” starred volunteers and military personnel who took part in the fighting in Eastern Ukraine.
