Support 192-megapixel cameras are now declared for five chips.
A few days ago it became known that Qualcomm has made changes to the technical specifications of several mobile processors Snapdragon, putting support cameras with resolution up to 192 million pixels. Now representatives of the company gave comments on the issue, reports the online edition of the Chronicle.info with reference on 3dnews.
Recall that the support of the 192-megapixel cameras are now declared for five chips. It is the product of Snapdragon 670, Snapdragon 675, 710 Snapdragon Snapdragon Snapdragon 845 and 855.
Qualcomm say that the processors have always supported matrix with a resolution of up to 192 million pixels, but previously they indicated lower rates. This is due to the fact that the specifications were listed for the maximum resolution available shooting modes at 30 or 60 frames per second.
Changes to the specifications of the chips due to the fact that the market began to appear smartphones with Snapdragon processor 675 and 48-megapixel camera. Earlier in the characteristics of this chip was not specified the opportunity to work with such a high sensor resolution.
Qualcomm also added that some vendors of smart phones already designing machines with cameras with a resolution of 64 million pixels, as well as 100 million pixels or more. Such a device could debut before the end of this year. However, the need for that number of megapixels in smartphones is questionable.
