The trailer for the drama series “Haute Démolition”, a new offering from Séries Plus based on a novel by Jean-Philippe Baril Guérard has just been unveiled. If we dive into the world of humor in the six episodes, it is far from always funny as the first images show.

“Haute démolition” stages the “fusional encounter” between up-and-coming comedian Raph (Étienne Galloy) and author Laurie (Léane Labrèche-Dor), who never had the courage to launch his career in comedy . Their alliance is perfect in that Raph lacks the content to become a big star. Their relationship, however, is “too explosive to last,” so Laurie decides to distance herself, which plunges Raph into despair and bitterness. He decides to banish her from the industry in revenge. “Her victory will be bittersweet and leave much collateral damage in her wake,” the synopsis hints.

The cast led by director Christian Laurence (“Wildlife Handbook », «La dérape») is completed by Éric Bernier, Hélène Bourgeois Leclerc, Michel Charette, Irdens Exantus, Carolanne Foucher, Guillaume Gauthier, Noémie Leduc-Vaudry, Bruno Marcil, Erich Preach and Francis-William Rhéaume.

< p>Jean-Philippe Baril-Guérard, whose novel “Manuel de la vie sauvage” was also adapted for the small screen last year and broadcast by the same channel, is writing the screenplay for “Haute démolition” with Suzie Bouchard ( “Time for raspberries 1 and 2”, “Bye Bye 2022”).

Produced by KOTV, “Haute démolition” will be broadcast starting March 16, at 9 p.m., on Séries Plus. The Corus channel is also offering another original work this winter, “Les bombes”, which is offered in the same time slot as “Haute démolition”, on Thursday evenings.
