The dental assistant by profession and co-owner of a residence of the rue Caron, in a quiet area of Vaudreuil-Dorion, had organized a small party in her backyard with a dozen friends, last Sunday.

Shortly before 22: 30, its neighbor to court, Maxime Belanger, 39 years old, jumped over his fence, most likely to tell her how to think about the loud partiers, according to his relatives.

According to what they have entrusted to the Log, the tension between the two neighbors was palpable since the arrival of the family Céspedes in the neighbourhood in 2016. The noise nuisance was at the heart of their dispute.

Scarcely had he crossed the fence, a few steps from a pool, that Mr. Bélanger would have been hit with a baseball bat and a knife, said-on Monday morning, a few hours after the tragedy. His death had been found in the hospital.

Cespedes, meanwhile, had quickly been put under arrest at the scene of the crime. It was then extensively interrogated on Monday, and then held the following night, before being brought before a judge Tuesday. It would be for the moment the only individual involved in this sad affair.

If he is convicted, he risks life imprisonment. His case will return to court Friday. You should then proceed to a bail hearing by video conferencing.
