“Today I am at the grave of his grandfather Semyon Ivanovich Zelensky. He went through the war and remained forever in my memory as one of those heroes who defended Ukraine from the Nazis. It is a pity that we so seldom remember our veterans, their grandfathers and grandmothers. We must be grateful for every day. Today – may 9th. This is our Thanksgiving. Gratitude for the fact that the abhorrent ideology of Nazism is gone forever. Thanks to those who fought Nazism and won. Just grateful to all for the opportunity to be born and live,” wrote Zelensky Instagram.

Another Ukrainian showman Yuri Gorbunov without further ADO published a postcard with red poppies and wished the veterans of many years.
“With the victory Day!! Happiness and long life to our veterans!!” – wrote Gorbunov.
Also popular presenter Masha Efrosinina shared on his page holiday cards, putting a post under the hashtag #Teniposide.
But the popular singer Olga Polyakova shared a photo from the family archive, in particular, the shots of her grandfather during the war. Ukrainian celebrity thanked all the veterans and congratulated them on may 9.
“My grandfather fought! Went through the war, to Prague, lived all his life with an enemy bullet in the shoulder! And very honored and loved this day! Remember him here today! You and your remember! After all is not in vain! Thank you!” – said the artist.
