It was a close call. On X (Twitter), a video showing a train cutting an Amazon delivery truck in two provokes many reactions. And for good reason, within a few centimeters, it was the passenger compartment where the driver was located who was hit by the machine launched on the rails at high speed. nbsp;
The train skims the seats
On November 10, 2021, while making his delivery, an Amazon employee was the victim of an accident with a train. Around a bend, the convoy passed right next to his vehicle, taking the entire rear part with it.
The truck was cut in two, and its cargo destroyed or scattered on both sides of the roadway.

He had seen nothing, heard nothing
A few days after the events, the driver, Alexander Evans, still emotionally recounted the scene on ABC: "Just air and pressure. I felt the airbags, and it was just…hellip; I didn't know what to feel to be honest with you."
Deaf in his left ear, this father had not heard the horn of the arriving train , nor saw the convoy arrive: "I didn't see anything. He was on my left." The accident happened on his birthday.
Alexander Evans then tried to escape the obvious danger, a posteriori, by trying to accelerate: "C' was literally like a long beep, like the train horn, and I put my foot on the accelerator."
A few days after the accident, the delivery man was still struggling to realize what had happened: " I still can't believe it myself right now."
