Un feu a été allumé ce vendredi en début de soirée par les agriculteurs, à l'entrée de Carrefour à Balaruc-le-Vieux, en marge de la manifestation montpelliéraine.

After a day of mobilization in Montpellier and Saint-Jean-de-Védas, farmers directed their anger towards the Carrefour shopping center, in Balaruc-le-Vieux this Friday, January 26.

Around 7 p.m., several dozen demonstrators dumped vine stocks, pallets and bales of straw, in front of the surprised looks of customers, before setting them on fire, as shown by several videos broadcast on Friday evening on social networks and in particular on the Facebook page Kazaa Infos Radars.

Thau Basin firefighters intervened on site to secure the scene. Contacted, the Hérault prefecture confirmed to us that the shopping center had been targeted by an action, on the sidelines of the day of mobilization which notably resulted in the total closure of the A9 motorway. The road axis had reopened on Saturday, but farmers have not ruled out further action.
