VIDEO. Car ramming attack leaves 3 injured in Jerusalem, two suspects arrested by police

Trois personnes ont été légèrement blessées dans une attaque à la voiture-bélier ce lundi 22 avril 2024 à Jérusalem, ont indiqué les services de secours et la police, laquelle a lancé une opération pour en retrouver les auteurs.

Two terrorists fled the scene on foot and on their escape route a homemade weapon of the “Carlo” type was found, a submachine gun manufactured by Palestinian armed groups&amp ;quot;, said a police spokesperson in a statement.

Surveillance camera footage, broadcast by Israeli television, shows a white Toyota swerve and hit a group of people on a sidewalk on a bend before ending its course into parked vehicles. Two young men then get out of the car, guns drawn, and appear to be trying, unsuccessfully, to open fire.

The Magen David Adom emergency medical service reported having treated and transported to hospital two young men aged 18 and 22 suffering from minor injuries after this attack.

A helicopter from the Israeli police air unit was mobilized and made it possible to locate the two suspects. Hidden in a closed business, they were arrested for questioning, reports I24.
