Little Émile disappeared on July 8, 2023 and has remained untraceable since. Nearly nine months later, bones and clothes belonging to the little boy were found near the hamlet of Haut-Vernet in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. But in the town of La Bouilladisse in Bouches-du-Rhône, where the parents and grandparents live, the atmosphere is special to say the least, according to a close relative of the family.
A case that makes people curious
The journalists from the show C l’Hebdo broadcast on France 5, went to the small town in the PACA region. "We are in solidarity, we have a common mourning to grieve", confided José Morales, mayor of the town, at the microphone of& ;rsquo;Amar Louis.
"On est solidaires, on a un deuil commun à faire et beaucoup de respect pour la famille."

But it is the testimony of a childhood friend of the family that particularly attracts attention. She explains that the grandfather, who is an osteopath at La Bouilladisse, is a well-known personality and that the affair of little Émile attracts many curious people. "Several patients came to see out of curiosity, to know who this person was", she explained.
This relative of the family also confides that the community group on social networks has seen its number of requests multiply by ten and deplores the behavior of these Internet users who & quot;should stay in their place". This curiosity and this enthusiasm reveal a “rather unhealthy atmosphere around the family and the grandfather,” she whispers.
The investigations continue
According to information from BFMTV, investigators' research will continue next week, in order to be able to find new elements which could shed light on the mysterious death of the little boy.
Please note that access to Haut-Vernet remains prohibited until April 15, following a decision by the mayor of Vernet, in order to prevent people get too close to the area of investigation.
