A 31-year-old was arrested aggressively towards noon, Saturday, for his refusal to wear a cover-face in a Tim Hortons in Montreal.
According to a video shared on Facebook that police had first asked the customer to leave the establishment.
“Do your business, I’m going to do mine. I have the right to order without a mask, ” one can hear in the video of the hand of the recalcitrant.
“On the spot, the man refused to comply with officer requests and he would have resisted her deportation,” explained the officer, Véronique Comtois, of the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).
Three police officers, including one with no mask, then have wanted to make an arrest.
He resisted, requiring that the master of the ground, especially with the help of Cayenne pepper.
The police did not wish to make additional comments on the intervention.
In all likelihood, it is his wife who has filmed the scene and then share it on the social networks.
The individual has been released with a promise to appear in court for having interfered with the work of the police.
It was not possible to obtain the number of interventions of this kind in the SPVM Saturday.
For its part, the Sûreté du Québec had no major incidents to report, recalling, in passing, that their police officers will remain in the mode of prevention for the moment.
It should be noted that children under 12 years of age, people whose particular medical condition prevents the wearing of the mask and those who receive a care that requires to withdraw are not required to wear it.
