South Korean shooting medalist Kim Ye-ji lands acting debut. Cold and icy.
South Korean Olympic shooter Kim Ye-ji, whose skill and nonchalance captivated audiences and the web at the Paris Games, has landed her first acting role, playing a hitwoman, Asia Lab announced Friday.
The 10-meter pistol silver medalist will star alongside Indian actress and influencer Anushka Sen in a series called “Crush,” according to a spokesperson for the Seoul-based entertainment company.
Her attitude has become a viral phenomenon
The fiction will feature stars from at least seven different countries and will notably address the themes of racism and xenophobia. A short video shot in May during a World Cup event in Baku, then her ultra-calm attitude combined with futuristic shooting glasses and a baseball cap worn backwards at the Paris Games this summer, have made her a viral phenomenon, in particular thanks to the multiple montages widely used on social networks social.
