Los Angeles FC of Hugo Lloris and Olivier Giroud, who played the second half, qualified for the final of the Leagues Cup, a summer competition bringing together MLS and Mexican clubs, by beating the Colorado Rapids 4-0 on Wednesday.
The 2018 world champions will face another club from the North American MLS League, Columbus, on Sunday evening, who won the second semi-final against Philadelphia Union (3-1).

In Los Angeles, Giroud did not score in his third appearance for LAFC, although the 37-year-old forward created a late opportunity with a shot that was blocked by Rockies goalkeeper Zack Steffen.
Qualified for the next Concacaf Champions League
LAFC's goals came from Polish forwards Mateusz Bogusz and Sierra Leonean forward Kei Kamara in the first half, Franco-Gabonese and former Saint-Etienne player Denis Bouanga increased the score in the 59th minute before a final goal by English midfielder Lewis O’Brien (4-0, 75th).

The two Leagues Cup finalists are automatically qualified for the next Concacaf Champions League (North, Central America and Caribbean zone) and will be joined by the winner of the match for 3rd place between Philadelphia and Colorado.
