The CNOSF communicated this Thursday, June 13, the list of the 14 final candidates to be standard bearers of the French delegation during the opening ceremony on July 26. A man and a woman will be chosen from this list by all those selected from the France team at the beginning of July.

There will only be two of them who will have the immense privilege of carrying the blue-white-red flag during the opening ceremony of these 2024 Olympic Games played at home for the French athletes.

The French National Olympic and Sports Committee unveiled this Thursday the list of the last 14 candidates to lead the French delegation, the last to pass during this opening ceremony, on July 26, in a location yet to be defined.

Nine Olympic sports among the latest candidates

Camille Lecointre (sailing), Jean-Baptiste Bernaz (sailing), Romane Dicko (judo), Renaud Lavillenie (pole vault), Estelle Mossely (boxing), Sofiane Oumiha (boxing), Enzo Lefort (fencing) , Pauline Rancier (fencing), Earvin Ngapeth (volleyball), Laetitia Guapo (basketball), Wendie Renard (football), Mélina Robert-Michon (athletics), Florent Manaudou (swimming) and Charlotte Bonnet (swimming) are part from this list.

As a reminder, in order to apply to be France's flag bearer, you had to have already participated in the Olympic Games, not to have been so during a previous edition. by meeting the criteria of exemplarity, respecting and embodying the Olympic charters.

Members of the delegation will vote on July 9 and 10 

To choose this pair, the CNOSF indicated that the members of the French delegation will have to vote between July 9 and 10 in order to elect the two lucky ones, while the result will be communicated on Next July 12.

Specifying that two members of the same federation cannot both be standard bearers, the one with the most votes will be chosen to do so.
