The clash at the top of the Polish handball championship between Plock and Kielce was once again very tense between the two teams, between racist chants towards the French team player Dylan Nahi, a player excluded for biting and two coaches who almost came to blows, Sunday October 13.

The Polish championship classic will have sparked again, as several months ago during the finals. A total of 21 two-minute games given by the referees, a red card… On the pitch, the match was more than tense between the two biggest Polish teams, going beyond what was reasonable.

An action that sums up the madness of this match, with the expulsion of the Spaniard Jorge Maqueda for biting one of the Plock players, after scoring a long-distance goal. An action that could earn the former HBC Nantes player a very heavy suspension.

Nahi targeted by racist chants

And if Plock ended up winning 29 to 25 to come back to three points behind Kielce, the match was also explosive off the pitch. Unfortunately with racist chants towards the French player of Kielce, Dylan Nahi, targeted by "f***ing black".

"At one point, I felt that there was noise against me, but I didn't know what people were saying, explained the French international to our colleagues from the newspaper L'Équipe. At the end of the match, my teammates and my coach explained to me that these were racist insults. On a field, it's the first time that this has happened to me. I find it stupid. I know that not everyone is like that, but there is a certain minority of people who don't think."

Coaches are on the verge of coming to blows

His coach in Kielce, who denounced these attacks, was himself the victim of racist insults from the opposing coach, Javier Sabaté. "He called me a fucking Chinese piece of shit, Talant Dujshebaev described to L’Équipe. Racism is unacceptable. I want to fight against this. My players, I love them like my sons, I don't care what color their skin is."

During the episode, visible in a video posted on social networks, we see the two men tearing each other apart after the end of the match, not far from coming to blows. In a statement, the Plock club denounced the behavior of Dujshebaev, who allegedly spat in Sabaté's face. “He told him in Spanish, son of a b***h, I'm going to kill you“, the club said.
