La Grace, bateau pirate tchèque au jaune pétillant, a accosté, ce lundi 18 mars, dans le port de Sète en amont d’Escale à Sète.

Otocil, vzít do plachet… It was in a strange atmosphere with Czech sounds that La Grace, headed off this Monday afternoon, in the company of Morgenster and Pandora, towards the most unique of French cities&nbsp ;: Sète. Under a blue sky, Voitech Jirasek, apprentice captain, like the 26 other pirates "took pleasure" to discover Mount Saint -Clair stands before them for the first time.

"I'm operating this boat for the second time. It’s impressive", recognizes the student, who "steers a 32 meter sailboat, while’ rsquo;[he] doesn’t even have a driver’s license.Beside him, the twenty lucky people, who paid to be there, are just as active.

A week of layover before Escale

This is the case of Stepanka Jakesova. "There are four teams on board, rotating on the different tasks to be done. We cook, we clean, we learn to sell like they did back then. There, I take care of the ropes and I have fun", says the young woman who feels "like a pirate with his period clothes.

It was then that La Grace arrived in the port of Sète and slowed down its pace. On board, around 4 p.m., some passengers are silent, admiring Sète. In the city, time also seems to have stopped. The inhabitants, at the quay, on the Môle or on the balconies, film the moment. It’s good, La Grace has docked, obviously… with grace. Only one week left to wait, and the people of Sétois will finally be able to go on board and live this pirate experience.
