Why Montpellier and Béziers could compete for a place in the Top 14 next season ? Such a scenario between the two Hérault clubs seems complicated but remains possible.

The only scenario for a confrontation between the ASBH and the MHR is "the'access match", a play-off match between the 13th in the Top 14 (first division) to the losing finalist of Pro D2 (second division). Montpellier is almost guaranteed to finish 13th in the Top 14. 

Béziers, for its part, is still in the running to win Pro D2. This Friday, the Hérault club faces Vannes in the semi-final to secure a place in the final.

An ASBH and MHR duel ? 

And it is only in the event of defeat in the Pro D2 final that Béziers, this historic club from France, will face Montpellier. 

If this scenario ever materializes, the ASBH would host the MHR at the Raoul-Barrière Stadium, on Sunday June 16 at 6 p.m. This match would be historic in every way, between two teams who have never played each other in official competition.
